Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun has congratulated the Muslim faithful in the state and across the nation on the celebration of this year’s Eid-el-Kabir. The governor urged them to adopt the virtues of sacrifice, love, obedience, and peaceful coexistence as demonstrated by Prophet Ibrahim. In his festive message, Abiodun noted that Eid-el-Kabir remains a significant spiritual event that teaches humanity the core values of faith, tolerance, selflessness, and total submission to the will of Almighty Allah.
The governor called on residents of the state to maintain peace and harmony regardless of their ethnic or religious differences, emphasizing that mutual understanding and unity are crucial for the continuous development and progress of the state and the country. He also urged Nigerians to continue supporting the ongoing reforms and initiatives of the Federal Government, expressing absolute confidence that the current policies would steer the country out of its economic challenges and set it on the path of stability, growth, and prosperity.
Abiodun reaffirmed the commitment of his administration to boosting the welfare of citizens through continuous investments in infrastructure, healthcare, security, education, youth empowerment, and economic development under his governance agenda. He appreciated the people of Ogun State for their prayers, support, and cooperation with his administration, while encouraging them to sustain their belief in the vision of the government for an inclusive and prosperous state. The governor prayed that the blessings of the celebration would bring joy, divine favour, peace, and renewed hope to every household and the entire nation.
