Bournemouth, playing their first match in three weeks and arriving at the Emirates in fine form having gone 11 games unbeaten, took the lead after just 17 minutes through Junior Kroupi, whose close-range volley arrived courtesy of a ball that deflected off William Saliba and dropped perfectly to the Bournemouth striker at the far post.
