The Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency (DSVA) has confirmed that a sexual assault allegation involving TikTok content creator Mirabel, known online as @mirab351, has been transferred to authorities in Ogun State for further investigation.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, the agency disclosed that it had made contact with a close associate of the survivor, who confirmed that she has been discharged from hospital care.
According to the DSVA, the case gained widespread attention on social media under the hashtag #StopRapingWomen, prompting public outrage and calls for justice. The agency commended members of the public who provided useful information and tagged the agency to ensure a timely response.
The survivor had earlier shared online that the alleged incident occurred on Sunday, February 15, and was reported publicly the following day. However, preliminary findings by the agency indicated that the incident did not take place within Lagos State.
