Appointment of Egbetokun as IGP, a round peg in a round hole- Ogun NNPP

 

The Ogun State chairman of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, Comrade Olaposi Oginni has described the appointment of Kayode Egbetokun as the new Inspector General of Police as the round peg in a round hole.

Oginni in a statement by the acting publicity secretary of the party, Hon. Senami Agboyinu Wheto, noted that the appointment will bring a new dawn to the Nigeria Police Force. 

The NNPP Party chairman stressed that Egbetokun’s appointment will usher in an overhauling and reform of the police force for better delivery and performance. 

He added, “We saw it coming and we said earlier that a new dawn has come to NIGERIAN POLICE. 

“We're calling on all Nigerians to see the Police as our friends and join hands together with the Police to get our society protected from criminals.

“We are using this medium to Congratulate Mr. Kayode Egbetokun and the entire people of Ogun State and Yewa People in particular. Our sincere appreciation also to the President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for this great appointment. 

“It is our belief and sincere conviction that Mr. EGBETOKUN shall make us proud as a Nation with greater police reforms and strategies to combat crimes.”
