Oginni in a statement made available to newsmen in Abeokuta yesterday evening said the NNPP is already preparing to take over in 2023 as the party will present a Christian Vice president from the southern part of the country.
The APC presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu had on Sunday announced former governor of Borno state, Senator Kashim Shettima as his vice presidential candidate for the 2023 election.
Reacting, Oginni stressed that the decision of the Tinubu to pick Shettima spells doom for Tinubu and APC at the 2023 Presidential Polls.
He noted that religion will play a major role on who becomes the next Nigeria president following the current situation of the country.
The NNPP Chairman maintained that the APC presidential candidate has embarked on a political suicide.
The statement reads partly, "Tinubu and his Political pundits missed it Big Time. Religion is going to play a major Role on who takes what as the Next President of Nigeria.
"The total disregard of larger percentages of Nigerian Voters who are Christians will definitely spell doom for Bola Ahmed Tinubu and APC at the 2023 Presidential Polls.
"I see Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso coasting to Victory with Yoruba Christian as Vice President.
"All Southern Christians are afraid of continue selective killings and kidnappings of Christians and Church Leaders.
"The Owo killing is still very fresh in our minds recognising the fact that these bandits and terrorists are mostly Muslims.
"The Muslim- Muslim Ticket of H. E Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Shettima is a Political Suicide!!!!
"Congratulations to H.E. Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso as the Next President of Federal Republic of Nigeria."
