Eid-il-Fitr: Ogun NNPP greets Islamic faithful, calls for prayer against bad leaders

The New Nigeria People's Party in Ogun State has congratulated the Muslim faithfuls on the completion of this year’s Ramadan and celebration of Ed-il-Fitr.

NNPP also called for prayers against "wrong leadership, selfish politicians and evil machineries who are likely to approach the people as the electioneering is getting closer."

The chairman of NNPP in the State, Comrade Olaposi Oginni said this in a statement on Sunday.

Oginni urged the people of the State to stand against imposition and tyranny of the ruling party, APC and its agents.

He said,"It's obvious that the few years of Dapo Abiodun administration have been a description of failures and corruption, and I know that the good people of Ogun State will not want him or his agents to continue beyond May 29 2023.

"The only way to stop the evil plans of APC is to vote them out.

"NNPP is out to rescue Ogun State and the nation at large from enemies of our progress."

He added, "We need to stand against their plans by getting involved in the electoral process, get your voters card, support NNPP and vote these evil machineries out of government.

"Gone are those days when people will say votes don't count, we can all make our vote count with our efforts and right orientation."

He, however, charged the youth to stop being used as a tool of violence and destruction.

"Most selfish politicians will take advantage of the present hardship in the country to use innocent Youth for their political propaganda and lies."
