Why Ogun people should re-elect Gov. Abiodun for second term - Assembly aspirant, Ganiu Olomowewe

 

An All Progressives Congress aspirant in Obafemi-Owode area of Ogun state, Hon. Wasiu Ganiu on Wednesday drummed support for the re-election bid of Governor Dapo Abiodun. 


Ganiu, popularly called Olomowewe noted that Governor Abiodun has in three years in office made a laudable impact in every parts of the state. 


The assembly aspirant who spoke with newsmen in Abeokuta lauded the governor for improving sectors like education, business and infrastructure. 


He however said the governor completed projects of seven years in his first three years in office. 


Ganiu Olomowewe stressed that there is need for the people of the state to re-elect the governor so as to be able to do more for the benefit of the residents. 


He added, "Governor Dapo Abiodun has done a lot especially in the area of education; he has played a very vital role in that regard.


"In the area of infrastructure, he has been very excellent. I believe he deserve a second term.


"I won't rate him base on only my local government. He has done a lot for all LGs in Ogun State.


"He has been doing excellently well in the last three years. I was expecting him to do that for about seven years but he was able to accomplish that under three years." 


Speaking on his ambition, the assembly aspirant noted that his desire to serve is to liberate the people of Obafemi-Owode from oppressor. 


Ganiu noted that he is coming to ensure there is improvement in terms of welfarism, community development, education, among others for the people of Obafemi-Owode. 


He explained, "I believe Obafemi-Owode deserves better in the area of welfarism, community development, education, infrastructure and in all of the areas of life.


"We cannot continue to be underdeveloped. We have all the resources. 


"We only have people who don't have the interest of the masses in their mind. That is why I deem it fit to make the amendment and I believe that by God's grace, we are going to do better.


"If I am given a chance, I have a lot of plans." 


Hon Wasiu Ganiu attended Housing College School 1 in Owode Egba. He also attended Owode Grammar School, Owode Egba 


The Assembly aspirant later went to Federal College of Education, Osiele in Abeokuta 


He is presently running a course at the prestigious University of Lagos.


He has attended a course on Starting and running of a business at Yale Academy.


He also attended a course on Government and Partnership at Yale Academy.
