The Chairman of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) Olaposi Oginni said the forthcoming local government election will be free of abracadabra which Governor Dapo Abiodun was alleged to have done in Anambra.
Comrade Oginni warned that the era of writing elections results in the state has gone, and that NNPP would resist any attempts by the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its cohorts to rig the local government elections holding in July.
He added that all known and new elections riggers recruited by APC as well as in OGSIEC caught on and after the elections would be sent to prison, no matter how highly place or whom they might be in the society.
Oginni disclosed this on Sunday at the party's meeting organized to orientate the Chairmanship and Councillorship aspirants in Abeokuta, Ogun State Capital.
Oginni denounced that the usual believe that the election result has being written by someone somewhere is not what will be possible in the Ogun LG Election.
His words "Nobody is going to write result here. The governor went to Anambra state and there are rumour that he went to manipulate some things in Anambra, but I don't believe it. So he will not come here to come and manipulate. So as far as I am concern, all the allegations against Governor Dapo Abiodun in Anambra, I still believe it is false. But if it is true, Dapo Abiodun should not come to Ogun state to come and try Anambra abracadabra. NNPP say no to that because this is Ogun state and not Anambra.
"So if he had done that in Anambra, he should leave all the manipulation in Anambra.
"We are not part of his slave that he will put in his cage. We are ready to set Ogun state people free. No to one-party in Ogun state. NNPP has come out to stay as credible alternative and number one opposition to APC in Ogun state.
"In this local government election, the governor himself is going to be in his house, he will not move out. NNPP we tell him he will not move out and we are going to tell the Inspector General of Police that the governor of Ogun must be invited and stay in Iperu on the day of election
He further explained that any officials that attempt to manipulate election 'will go to prison'.
"I want to tell NNPP that anyone that want to rig election, that person will go to prison. As we are speaking now, more than ten INEC officials are in prison as of the 2019 election."
Oginni however urged all the NNPP members to troop out to cast their vote on the day of election
"Now I want to beg all of us, we need to go back to our different wards and our different local governments to go and tell our people that it is not going to be business as usual."
